Easy as Abs and Apples! Your fitness routine and recipe.

Only a few months away and we are headed into beach bikini season, and I must say that  UjENA has an amazing new collection out and there isn’t a  better time to start getting in shape and order your new 2015 UjENA Swimsuit than now. So let’s Jump right into this months Abs and Apples workout recipe !

 Have you heard the expression abs are made in the kitchen? Well, it’s true my friendly Ujena peeps. This is why I decided to start adding recipes to my workout blogs. With the help of my friend and Paleo expert Tania Clark, we will have you on your way to that beach body in no time.

In this blog post we will focus on an abs circuit….any of these exercises  can be done ANYWHERE! Hotel, Gym, Beach, or at Home.

What you will need: Yoga mat, Towel  ( You can roll up towel and place underneath back for support), and a bottle of water.

Abs Circuit:

(3 rounds with 2 minutes rest between rounds/20 reps each exercise)

1. Flutter kicks ( roll up towel and place underneath back for extra lumbar support)

2. Crossover Crunch

3. Plank

4. V-Sits

5. Side Plank (remember to do both sides) 30 seconds each

6. Toe touch

Try this recipe for a quick on the go healthy breakfast. Also, this is a great post workout snack!

Tania Clark’s Paleo Nutrition MealsTania Clark Paleo

Paleo “No Grain” Cereal

1 apple diced

½ cup of fresh blueberries

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp raw unsalted pumpkin seeds

1 tbsp chopped walnuts

1 tbsp cashew nut butter (Any nut butter will work)

½ cup Almond Milk

Dice up apples and mix in blueberries and cinnamon.  Then add the seeds, walnuts and blend together.  Next spoon in your nut butter and mix well.  Then add your almond milk.  You can add scrambled eggs to this meal for extra protein. Enjoy!
